The US Justice Department has charged two Sudanese nationals for their involvement in DDoS attacks carried out by Anonymous Sudan. The hacker group is known for launching disruptive attacks on critical infrastructure, businesses, and government organizations worldwide. They also offered DDoS attack services to others. Despite speculation that Anonymous Sudan operated from Russia, it was revealed that key members were actually from Sudan. The indictment names Ahmed Salah Yousif Omer and Alaa Salah Yusuuf Omer, who are responsible for developing and conducting the attacks. The group's DDoS tool, Distributed Cloud Attack Tool (DCAT), was used in over 35,000 assaults, causing more than $10 million in damages.
