A former mayor in the Philippines, Alice Guo, accused of having ties to Chinese criminal syndicates, has been arrested in Indonesia. Guo, also known as Guo Hua Ping, is wanted for refusing to attend a congressional inquiry on her alleged criminal connections. She is currently in the custody of the Indonesian Police. Guo and 35 others have been charged with laundering over 100 million pesos ($1.8 million) from criminal activities.
