Insurgents warn regime forces to surrender in Thantlang after last base falls
On Monday, the Myanmar National Defence Council Army (MNDAA) and allied insurgents took control of the last military base in Thantlang, a town in western Myanmar’s Chin State. In response, the Committee for Neutral Arbitration (CNA) has warned Myanmar junta troops to surrender and avoid further violence. At least 100 regime forces retreated into the town after insurgents overran Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 269 headquarters following three days of attacks.
