Malawi to withdraw troops from the DRC
Malawi's President Lazarus Chakwera has instructed the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) to prepare for the withdrawal of its troops from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) following the deaths of three soldiers. The troops are part of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Mission in the DRC (SAMIDRC), which aims to assist the country in dealing with armed insurgents. The exact timing of the withdrawal is yet to be determined. South Africa, on the other hand, has pledged to maintain its troops in the DRC as part of the SAMIDRC mission. IDF ordered to develop plan for voluntary displacement in Gaza
