Arson attacks target French rail lines before the Olympic opening ceremony
France's high-speed rail network has been targeted by coordinated arson attacks, causing major disruptions before the Paris Olympics opening ceremony. The state-owned railway operator, SNCF, reported that installations along the lines connecting Paris with the west, north, and east of the country were affected. The attacks resulted in severe disruptions, cancellations, and the need for repairs. The travel plans of around 800,000 French holiday-makers have been affected, and Eurostar trains from London to Paris have also been impacted. Operations in Gaza continue to target Hamas operatives and tunnels
More than 100 terror operatives have been killed by troops with the 98th Division during a new operation in southern Gaza's Khan Younis. The offensive was launched to target Hamas terrorists regrouping in the area and recover the bodies of five slain hostages. Israeli Air Force drones also struck seven mortar-launching cells in Khan Younis. In Rafah, troops with the 162nd Division killed numerous terror operatives, located tunnels and weaponry, and IAF drone strikes killed two gunmen and an additional operative. Additionally, IAF fighter jets, combat helicopters, and drones struck 45 targets across Gaza, including cells of gunmen, tunnel shafts, buildings used by terror groups, and rocket launchers. Pentagon Confirms Strike Targeting US Airbase in Iraq
A US Department of Defense spokesperson confirmed that an attack occurred near Ain al-Asad Airbase in Iraq on Friday, with no injuries to US military personnel. Hezbollah operatives targeted in Israeli airstrike in Markaba
