Bolivian soldiers arrested after coup attempt
Seventeen members of the Bolivian army have been arrested for a thwarted military coup attempt. The alleged coup leader, General Juan José Zúñiga, and Vice-Admiral Juan Arnez Salvador were among those arrested. The two men are accused of armed insurrection and could face up to 30 years in prison. Three other reservists suspected of involvement are still at large. Grenade attack injures seven people in Quetta
Thursday evening, unidentified motorcyclists threw a grenade at a security forces vehicle in the Killi Ibrahimzai area of Quetta. The grenade missed the targets and exploded on the road, wounding seven passersby. This event took place on 06/28/2024.

More NPA bodies found after encounter
The bodies of three female New People's Army (NPA) rebels were found by the Philippine Army's 84th Infantry Battalion (84IB) in Barangay Malbang, Pantabangan town. The rebels were identified as Andrie dela Cruz and Azase Galang, while the third female remains unidentified. Four firearms were also discovered. It is believed that the rebels were abandoned by their comrades during their withdrawal. This brings the total number of slain rebels to 10. This event took place on 06/28/2024.
