Al-Shabab attack reported near the Kenya-Somalia border
At least one police officer was confirmed dead after Al Shabaab militants fired a rocket-propelled grenade at the Border Patrol Unit in Garissa. One officer was shot dead, and another sustained a gunshot injury. The incident resulted in the loss of an AK47 rifle assigned to the deceased officer. All other officers were accounted for.
