Ansar al-Islam member arrested in Jashore
The Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) of Bangladesh Police has arrested a fugitive member of Ansar al-Islam, Md Sijan Hossain, who is accused of being an active member of the group. Sijan was apprehended in Jashore and was found in possession of two mobile phones and three SIM cards. This event took place on 05/12/2024.

Senior officer wounded in Gaza City
The deputy defense establishment comptroller, Brig. Gen. Yogev Bar Sheshet, was wounded in Gaza City. He was with the Nahal Infantry Brigade chief's forward command team. He is the most senior IDF officer to be wounded in the Gaza Strip. Five Nahal soldiers were killed in the fighting. This event took place on 05/12/2024.

Rocket launched at Sderot
A rocket launched from the Gaza Strip at the southern city of Sderot was intercepted. Sirens had sounded in the city for the second time today. No damage or injuries have been reported.
