On Wednesday, authorities reported that a man killed himself by detonating explosives after attempting to enter Brazil's Supreme Court in Brasilia. This attack on the country's political center prompted the evacuation of court staff and legislators. Initially, an explosion originated from a car at 7:30 p.m. local time, occurring on the street next to the Congress Annex 4. The suspect then tried to enter the Supreme Court building but failed, triggering a second explosion outside the door that killed him. Police found explosives and a timer attached to the man's body.
