Thousands protest in Luanda
Several thousand Angolan opposition supporters in Luanda protested against the government in the first large demonstration since the disputed 2022 vote. The protest was organized by the opposition party UNITA, with around 4,000 people peacefully marching and criticizing the ruling MPLA party and President Joao Lourenco. The protesters called for Lourenco to leave, highlighted hunger issues, and criticized the government as a dictatorship. The marchers were closely watched by the police. 33 people killed and 26 others injured during tribal clashes in Kurram
At least 33 people were killed and 25 others injured in clashes between armed Sunni and Shiite groups in northwestern Pakistan, according to a senior police officer from the region. The violence erupted as armed men in Bagan and Bacha Kot torched shops, homes, and government property. Intense gunfire was reported between the Alizai and Bagan tribes in the Lower Kurram area. This latest outbreak of violence in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province comes just days after a deadly gun ambush left 42 people dead. This event took place on 11/23/2024.

Philippine vice president threatens to assassinate President Marcos
Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte claimed on Saturday that she had hired an assassin to kill President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., his wife, and the House of Representatives speaker, should she be killed. Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin has referred this "active threat" against the president to an elite presidential guards force "for immediate proper action." Two Turkish opposition mayors convicted of terrorism
On Friday, The Turkish Interior Minister announced that two opposition mayors in the cities of Tunceli and Ovacik in eastern Turkey were convicted of terrorism and removed from office for belonging to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorist group.
