Pakistan customs officials seize US weapons at Torkham border
On Tuesday, Pakistani customs officials seized a cache of US-origin weapons left behind in Afghanistan at the Torkham border. The weapons were found in a coal truck coming from Afghanistan. The cache of weapons included 15 M4 rifles, 170 magazines, and over 5,100 rounds of ammunition. Pakistani officials suspect the weapons were intended for delivery to militant groups, including the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Authorities detained the driver and an alleged accomplice.
