RSF attacks Joint Force outpost in Jebel Moon
Last Thursday, October 17, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attacked a Joint Force outpost in Jebel Moon Locality, West Darfur - part of a series of escalations along the Chad-Sudan border. Sudanese Joint Forces, composed of former rebels who now receive support from the Sudanese military, reported repelling the RSF attack and inflicting heavy casualties on the renegade paramilitary group. In the past three weeks, fighting broke out in at least three border towns between Chad and Sudan - Sirba, Jebel Moon, and Kulbus - after Joint Force reinforcements arrived in the area and began operations against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
