Gunmen attack Thailand wildlife sanctuary, abduct four people
On Saturday, September 21, around 20 armed assailants stormed the Hala-Bala Wildlife Sanctuary in southern Thailand's Narathiwat province. The assailants set fire to four buildings, including the sanctuary's office and tourist lodgings, detonated explosives, and abducted four staff members. Though some employees escaped and alerted nearby residents, authorities later found the sanctuary's gun safe had been breached, with approximately ten firearms stolen and the parking lot vehicles burned.
