Suicide bombers attack Mohmand Rifles HQ in Ghalanai
At least two suicide bombers were killed in a terror attack at a military headquarters in northwestern Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Security forces eliminated two out of the five suicide bombers in the ongoing gunbattle. The attack took place at the Mohmand Rifles Headquarters in Ghalanai town of Mohmand district, which borders Afghanistan. The encounter is still underway, and a search operation is ongoing to clear the headquarters. The Jamatul Ahrar militant group, part of the outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, is believed to be behind the attack. This event took place on 09/06/2024.

Taiwan military intelligence officers sentenced in China spy case
Three retired officers from the Military Intelligence Bureau (MIB) have been sentenced to prison for forming a spy ring to collect sensitive information on behalf of China. Former Major General Yueh Chih-chung was sentenced to 10 months, retired Colonel Chang Chao-jan received 18 months, and ex-Colonel Chou Tien-tzu was sentenced to 14 months. Ex-Colonel Wang Ta-wang was found not guilty. The officers received benefits from China for doing business there and were instructed by a Chinese official to form the spy ring. They were charged with breaking the National Security Act and leaking secrets. This event took place on 09/06/2024.
