Pakistan's security forces successfully thwarted multiple infiltration attempts by 20 to 25 terrorists and Afghan Taliban elements at the Pak-Afghan border in the Kurram area between Friday and Saturday. Pakistani troops killed more than 15 terrorists, and Afghan Taliban fighters killed and wounded several others injured in fighting. Furthermore, Afghan Taliban forces abandoned six of their outposts and retreated, surrendering key strategic positions.
