A truck rammed the gates of parliament in Abkhazia as protesters demonstrated against an investment agreement with Russia. Two people were injured in the clashes. Abkhazia and South Ossetia are recognized as independent states by Russia but are considered part of Georgia by most of the world. The investment agreement with Moscow has sparked concerns about the property market. Abkhazian opposition leaders fear that the agreement will allow more Russian money to flow in, pricing locals out of the market.
