Regime airstrikes hit insurgent-run detention center in Nawnghkio

On Monday evening, regime fighter jets bombed a detention center in Nawnghkio that was operated by revolutionary groups and held dozens of regime forces. These regime forces had been arrested during recent anti-regime operations in Mandalay Region and northern Shan State. The airstrikes killed at least 12 people, including eight detained junta soldiers, and injured over 60 others. This event took place on 10/28/2024 at the following location: Nawnghkio, Myanmar.
