On Thursday, the Sudanese army launched its first major offensive in months, conducting airstrikes and shelling on Rapid Support Forces (RSF) positions in Khartoum. The army's objective was to regain control of parts of the capital held by the rival paramilitary RSF. During the offensive, Sudanese forces crossed three key bridges over the Nile River, previously dividing Khartoum's army-controlled and RSF-controlled areas.
