The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of Uganda, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, met with CODECO (Cooperative for the Development of the Congo) militia group leaders in Entebbe on April 22, 2025. The meeting aimed to promote lasting peace and stability in Eastern Congo. CODECO leaders, including Mr Dunji Kulukpa Etienne, Vice President of the Lendu Community in Eastern DRC, expressed regret over clashes with the Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces (UPDF) and issued a formal apology for recent attacks.
