Update: Casualty figures reported in attack on Chad's presidential palace

Gunmen attempted to storm the presidential complex in Chad's capital, N'Djamena, resulting in a battle that left 18 attackers and one security personnel dead. The government later confirmed that 19 people were killed, with 18 of them being members of the commando unit that launched the assault. The attackers were initially believed to be members of the Boko Haram group, but the government later described them as drunken individuals.
