US, Japan, and South Korea conduct trilateral air operation

On Wednesday, fighter aircraft from Japan and the Republic of Korea conducted a trilateral escort flight alongside U.S. bombers operating near the Korean Peninsula. Two Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-2 fighters and two Republic of Korea Air Force F-15K fighters escorted two U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bombers during the joint training mission. The joint exercise took place after North Korea test-launched short-range ballistics missiles in the Sea of Japan on Tuesday. This event took place on 01/15/2025 at the following location: Sea of Japan, South Korea.
